Chase God Not Man

After the sermon one Sunday we were worshiping deeply.  They Holy Spirit said, "Don't chase man."  This came as a thought in my mind.  I knew immediately Jesus Spirit meant not to think too highly or suck up to any Bible teachers and worship leaders.  I can see supernatural empowerment and the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon ministers so easily.  I sit at the the table and visit with the great men of God moving powerfully in the Holy Spirit.  Men who have gotten out of the way so the Spirit of Jesus can move powerfully through them.  Men who are at the cutting edge, and carrying on the great work of taking Jesus testimony to the ends of the earth in these last day.  I have the  Bible translators who brought back the Majesty of Messiah to the people through their ISV translation, "pure gold".   What a gift from above to hang with the Whitfields', the Tyndals', the Wesleys' of our day; the Pauls' and Timothys'  of our generation.  I thank Jesus for this opportunity.  My daughter calls all of us Christian here at the KI Resident Study Program, "Bible people."  I like it.  Being a Bible person makes me happy.  We are still living the Book of Acts today.

So, don't chase man.  We know who to chase: Jesus.  Chase God and Him alone. Let us chase Lord Jesus with intensity for the rest of our lives and into eternity.  Let's be hot for Him, on fire with fervent love for Messiah.  I love reading Song of Songs and imagining King Jesus.  How He loves us, and how we love Him, Spirit to spirit.  Think of chasing Jesus when you read these verses:  DRAW ME; WE WILL RUN AFTER THEE:  THE KING HATH BROUGHT ME INTO HIS CHAMBERS;  WE WILL BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN THEE;  WE WILL MAKE MENTION OF THY LOVE MORE THAN OF WINE;  RIGHTLY DO THEY LOVE THEE. (Song 1:4 ASB)

And here's something even more wonderful: the love God has for you and I.  When you read this think of the love between you and your Maker; the love only your soul and your Savior can share.  FOR LOVE IS AS STRONG AS DEATH, PASSION AS INTENSE AS SHEOL.  THE FLAMES OF LOVE ARE FLAMES OF FIRE, A BLAZE THAT COMES FROM THE LORD.  (Song 8:6b ISV)  Jesus died on the cross and rose again for us.  He conquered death for you and I.  Jesus flamed mercy, grace, and forgiveness forever into the universe 2,000 years ago from the cross.  That's how strong Messiah's love is; stronger than death for you and I.  GOD IS LOVE.

Bragging On My Ministers

If you would have asked me a week ago if I had carnality in my life I would have said no.  But after Chuck Missler's Monday night study of First Corinthians chapter 2 and 3 I have to confess.  (Only because his study questions ask us for an example of carnality in our lives.)   

It's hilarious, I see that the carnality in my life is the exact same as the carnality in the church ladies in Corinth .  They were all bragging on their Ministerswho they loved the best and thought were the greatest in the world. One would said Apollo that was the best.  Others said that Paul rules, another claims that Peter is the greatest.  The smart said "I BELONG TO THE MESSIAH." (1 Cor. 1:12c)  They were even fighting over which Pastor they followed.  ( 1 Cor. 1:11-12)  Paul had to write them and get after them.  He told them to stop.  Paul gets down to the bottom line:  therefore, as it is written, "THE PERSON WHO BOASTS MUST BOAST IN THE LORD". (1 Cor. 1:31 ISV)

So, that means I can't continue going around  bragging on my Ministers.  In my personal opinion  they are the greatest in the world.  I've been worshiping at Calvary Spokane for about 18 years.  To me, Ken Ortiz is the best Pastor in the world.  He is the Pastor Jesus has given me.  He hears from God.  Ortiz wears white robes in a spiritual sense.  Sitting under his teachings, Jesus has kept me grounded in the faith, worshiping God, taught from the Bible.

For 20 years I've been listening to Chuck Missler.  The power of the Holy Spirit moves profoundly when he speaks.  I used to tell everyone that in my personal opinion Missler is the greatest theologian in America.  Well, now that Chuck's moved to New Zealand I tell everyone he is the greatest theologian in the world.  And I think he is.

I laugh because I had to set one of his board members straight at the Coeur'd Alene conference.  I met one of the KI board members and he asked me, "How long have you been following Chuck Missler."  I gave him the obvious answer, the only  answer.  "I don't follow Chuck Missler, I follow Jesus" I told him.  He said, "Well answered."  I wanted to reply, "It's not well answered, it's the truth."  But I didn't, I didn't want to be too in his face.

I met another man at the conference that said he is a 'Misslerite".  I was shocked.   I wanted to set him straight too.  I wanted to say "Hey, we're supposed to be called Christians."  But, I didn't.  I was polite.  I probably should have said something though.

Now, I have another Pastor.  Ron Matsen, here at the resident study program in New Zealand.  He has had almost 40 years pastoring and teaching.  He and his wife are just the Pastors I needed.  Pastors who are with a person day to day.  He is also a preeminent theologian in the Evangelical Church.  To me, he is the second greatest theologian in the world, after Missler.

The other day I met the new Managing Director of KI, Louis Powell.  He is a man of great love. God has given him a powerful testimony of Jesus' love in his life.  It is an honor to meet him.  I know Jesus has good plans for him. 

But this is all bragging on my Ministers.  Fist Corinthians reveals that  I can't say I follow Matsen, or I follow Ortiz, or I follow Missler.  That's sin.  That's carnality.  They are only human beings. (1 Cor. 3:4)  I can only say, "I follow Jesus." Jesus said, "NO ONE IS GOOD, EXCEPT GOD ALONE."(Mark 10:18c)  It's only God, and Him alone who grows our faith.  God gives us His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus.  So that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 

Now, I repent.  I want to boast in the Lord and Him only.  Jesus has poured His mercy, grace and forgiveness into me and my life like a mighty river of His power.I know Jesus loves you.  He has good plans for you too.  NOW TO THE ONE  WHO CAN DO INFINITELY MORE THAN ALL WE CAN ASK OR IMAGINE ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT IS WORKING AMONG US-- TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH AND IN MESSIAH JESUS TO ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER! AMEN. (Eph. 3:20,21 ISV)  I like the way the Amplified bible describes Gods great power toward us who believe.  NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO SUPERABUNDANTLY, FAR OVER AND ABOVE ALL THAT WE DARE ASK OR THINK, INFINITELY BEYOND OUR HIGHEST PRAYERS, DESIRES, THOUGHTS, HOPES OR DREAMS.  TO HIM BE GLORY. (Eph. 3:20,21 portions)

The Secret Of Power

`I asked Chuck Missler what his secret of walking in power is?  He said, "I get out of the way."  Isn't that profound?  The secret of talking, praying, teaching, seeing, etc. in the mighty power of the Holy Spirit is just to get out of the way, and let Him move.  Jesus, I pray that You teach me, and all of us how to do this.  Amen.

Worship:  Jesus once told me "Worship Me-- that's where the power is."  Jesus prescription for power is to worship Him! Amen.

Don't we all want more power? .. SO THAT YOU WILL WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF THE LORD, TO PLEASE HIM IN ALL RESPECTS, BEARING FRUIT IN EVERY GOOD WORK AND INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD; STRENGTHENED WITH ALL POWER, ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS MIGHT..  (Col. 1:10,11a)  

May we know.. WHAT IS THE SURPASSING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE.. (Eph. 1:19 a)

Jesus says: .. "YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES ON YOU, AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES... TO THE END OF THE EARTH." (Acts 1:8a,c)

"Once and Future Church"

 Chuck is especially excited about the current move of  God  the Lord is allowing him to participate in. He has been warning us for the 20 years that I've listened to him that someday it won't be "church as usual."  He says eventully the church in America will have to go underground.  We can see persecution all around us: against us Christians who take the Bible seriously.  I recently had to leave my job because I was told to stop talking about God. The persecution has started.  In my personal opinion Jesus has given him a vision and work of Jesus establishing His underground church.  Especially for these times we live in right now, in the States and around the globe.  Koinonia Institute and River Lodge are instrumental in this new direction from our Lord Jesus.  Chuck explains that the bible believing church has always been persecuted by the religious establishment.  J. Verson Mcgee foresaw this coming persecution in America when he was alive.
 
Chuck's current insights on Christ's Church is in the Briefing Pack, "Once and Future Church."   The Holy Spirit tells us to start small home fellowships.  The mission of these home study groups is discipleship.  Chuck explains "you and I are God's sanctuary".  This is our most profound opportunity in America right now because home fellowships are "effective in transforming lives" and persecution proof.  Chuck encourages all of us bible people to work in this direction.  He says America is in difficult times and headed for more.  Our freedom of thought and movement are becoming increasingly restricted.  "We're moving into different times" states Dr. Missler.  "The dark times are the times in which the church flourished. We're moving in a way God that has laid out in advance.  In these small groups the Spirit is free to move. Our only boast is the Lamb Himself."

Home Fellowships

Dr. Chuck Missler is encouraging  us regular Christians in America to start  home fellowships.

That's where the power of personal transformation can really move.  He is very encouraging and very helpful to get us started.  He forsees home groups as imperative for the difficult times ahead.  God is doing great things in our day my friends.

 I'm  currently getting my house in Spokane WA. all fixed up.  Its starting to look very pretty. Jesus can use it any way He wants.  I gave it to Him a long time ago. I've invited the Holy Spirit in. My home is available to our Lord Jesus for a home fellowship.  I'm thinking of inviting 2 of my close neighborhood friends. I would really like to sing worship songs to Jesus, that's where the power is.  Then teach a chapter in the bible and  have a discussion group. We'd do lunch too. How fun a ladies time would that be!  Maybe you could do something at your house too.  It would be fun, loving, and powerful in the Holy Spirit.  Chuck does have teaching DVD's available for anyone who doesn't want to do their own teaching.  It's that easy. Id like to teach.  That would be so exciting.  Chuck does encourage us to start with 1 book of the bible and go through it one chapter a week.  "One bite at a time", he says.

I gave Jesus my life a long time ago.  Jesus divinely  healed me of terminal cancer.  Our lives are His. He gives us our very breath.  It's only by His grace that we can even take our next breath.  Our lives and souls are in His hands. God is faithful.  We are in His hands.  He has shown me mercy, grace, and forgiveness beyond human capacity to understand.  GOD IS LOVE. (Infinite love.)  Jesus wants me to tell others about Him.  He wants  all of us to tell others about Him in our own way.  Jesus spoke these last words to us in the book of Matthew: "THEREFORE, AS YOU GO, DISCIPLE PEOPLE IN ALL THE NATIONS..... TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING THAT I'VE COMMANDED YOU.  AND REMEMBER, I AM WITH YOU EACH AND EVERY DAY UNTIL THE END OF THE AGE." (Mt. 28:19a,20 ISV)

I Want Everybody To Come: Jesus Will Talk to You

Sitting on the dock of the meandering river in the cool of the evening I can sense Jesus' Spirit  talking to me.
 I have all the solitude I need to contemplate the great things of God.  I have all the Bible teaching I need to keep me enthralled by the Word of God.   Not to mention the powerful Presence of the Holy Spirit.  Hanging with Dr. Missler and other 'bible people' is a highlight in my life.  To me, Chuck is the world's greatest theologian.  In my eyes he always has is the outstanding Bible teacher and watchman of our times.  When he speaks it is with power and always has been for the 20 years I've been listening to him.  Sitting at Chuck's feet gives one a sense of  the divine destiny Jesus has for us in these end times.

Ron Matsen, director, is also a world renown Bible teacher.
 He has taught and pastored in the States, the UK  with Calvary Chapel.  Ron's professional background is in managing of very large programs for multinational defense contractors in the States and Europe.   His  Bible teachings always inspire and bring me into a much deeper understanding of God and Scripture.  Ron exhorts us to live right by Jesus. The Holy Spirit speaks to the heart of people through him.  I saw a brilliant, orthodox Jewish man come to the realization that Jesus of Nazareth is Messiah while he and his family stayed here at the Lodge. I have met the most interesting people from all over the world here.  Ron, his wife Marcy  all his family make everyone feel loved, welcomed and right at home.  If you need a pastor who is right here with you, Ron and Marcie are some of the best.  We all need that.  Their cooking's delicious and healthy.

I'm especially excited about upcoming conferences.  God willing, Dr. Peter Flint will bring the majesty of Messiah to us as only Dr. Flint can.
  He is the world's premier authority on the Dead Sea Scrolls.  His translation of the Great Isaiah Scroll in the ISV Bible makes Isaiah understandable.  Dr.Missler has used his translation in his upcoming study on the Book of Isaiah.  I've had a sneak preview.  To me this is Chuck's most anointed teaching.  He brings his mature wisdom and up to date analysis of Isaiah's prophecies to light.  Profound.

God willing, another conference speaker who I look forward to hearing is Dr. Barry Setterfield.
 He is the cutting edge physicist of our day.  His research into physics prove the existence of the God of the Bible.  The plasma model universe and Barry's discovery of the slowing speed of light, plus his insights into why there is still background heat in the atom at absolute zero shatter the myths of an evolution based universe.  I want to hear him explain the cosmos as only a God fearing physicist can.  I like how God explains the great secrets of the universe in  Colossians:  CHRIST IS THE VISIBLE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD.  HE EXISTED BEFORE ANYTHING WAS CREATED AND IS SUPREME OVER ALL CREATION, FOR THROUGH HIM GOD CREATED EVERYTHING IN THE HEAVENLY REALM AND ON EARTH. HE MADE THE THINGS WE CAN SEE AND THE THINGS WE CAN'T SEE...  EVERYTHING WAS MADE THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM.  HE EXISTED BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE, AND HE HOLDS ALL CREATION TOGETHER. (Col. 1:15,16ac,17 NLT)  What a God we serve.  "BLESSING AND HONOR AND GLORY AND POWER BE UNTO HIM THAT  SITTETH UPON THE THRONE AND UNTO THE LAMB, FOREVER AND EVER!" (Rev. 5:13b KJ21)

              I want every body to come to the Resident Study Program.  Jesus will talk to you.

 I encourage you to come.  The most important thing in life is that we please the Lord.  The Holy Spirit told me to come to New Zealand for 3 months and I would  find what I'm seeking. So I came.  My dream is to come study next year too.  Maybe Jesus is calling you too.  Is He?  Answer His call.   All are welcome.

 The sun rises with golden warmth.  It's summer here while it's winter in the States.  Chuck has the prettiest yard I've ever seen, all 40 acres of it.    The river glistens like diamonds in the sunlight.

The mountains breathtaking in the evening shadows, exotic in shape.  The green trees, shrubs, and plants appear extra vivid in the New Zealand daylight.  Birds welcome the day, and sing until night time.  The air smells of life.  Walking on the grounds is like walking in a paradise garden.  Almost as good as walking in  the millennium.  Flowers burst with beauty.  Swallows swim through the air.  Glories sunsets shine on majestic clouds.  Sweet breezes make music through the rustling leaves.  Stars blaze brilliantly in the night sky.

 This paradise is home to a quail family, wild duck families, a blue crane family, and the fluffiest momma possum and her baby.  And more.  There's even a family of the  pet ducks and chicks living here.

They're the cutest and most delightful little things.  Henrietta is the mother hen.   Her eggs are delicious.  Shawn is the resident doggy.  He's adorable and loves his mistress.

Equipping the Saints

THEIR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO EQUIP GOD'S PEOPLE TO DO HIS WORK AND BUILD UP THE CHURCH, THE BODY OF CHRIST. (Eph 4:12 NLT)

 For my home based ministry I'm inspired to start a blog.   I'd like to start posting as soon as possible.   Blogging for Jesus is the skill I hope to learn here at the Resident Study Program of Koinonia Institute.  Ron Matsen,  director and pastor, is encouraging and mentoring me.  He says I'm gifted at writing.  He is pleased with the biblical insights the Holy Spirit gives me.  Ron explains this empowerment of the Holy Spirit for witnessing in his briefing package,"Holy Spirit."  I had been asking our Lord Jesus for Him to create a blog for me for a long time.  The goal is to tell (witness)  of Jesus unfathomable  mercy, grace, and forgiveness.  The Holy Spirit of Jesus seems to be writing this blog for me.  It's amazing.  I'm blown away.  Operating powerfully in the gifts of the Spirit here at the Lodge makes learning and doing  easy.

Chuck Missler The Man

Today during prayer and fasting I asked Jesus to show me Chuck Missler's heart.

I wanted to know who he really is.  This evening he was teaching on 1 Corinthians here at River Lodge in New Zealand.  I saw a man deeply in love with our Lord Jesus Christ.  I was moved to the verge of tears by Missler's love for Jesus.  He taught that Jesus is our Lord, and always called so in the New Testament.  I could see a man whose whole driving impetuous in teaching glorifies the Lord Jesus to the epitome.  During question and answer time I asked him why He loves our Lord so much.  Chuck said that Jesus is with him always in so many ways.  Chuck revealed that he is humbled that the Lord uses him in such a significant work of God.  I saw an extremely humble man. Sincerely Missler said:  "FOR TO ME, TO LIE IS CHRIST, TO DIE IS GAIN."

What Jesus Has Done For Me

I came to Christ on my death bed with terminal cancer. He healed me.

20 years ago, the moment I asked Jesus to get me to heaven Jesus took all fear of dying off me.  Yet, He had mercy on my babies. He healed me in a miracle to raise the children He gave me.  Then, over these past 20 years only His grace has carried me in all my troubles in this life.  His forgiveness is unfathomable.  All of my mistakes, sins, are as if they never happened.  Thanks to the blood of our Almighty God shed on the cross at Calvary.  GOD IS LOVE. ( 1 Jn. 4:8b)  His love is like a never ending river. IN HIM WE LIVE, AND MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING.  (Acts 17:28a) All praise and glory and power and Honor to Him.  And now, at the Resident Study Program, Jesus has given me the training to tell of His power to the ends of the earth.

Jesus' mercy, grace, and forgiveness flows to us always.

     Tent Making: River Lodge is beautiful.  It is an up and running, very busy business. I got to see the day to day operations.  The Apostle Paul was a tent maker.  He writes: WE WORK HARD WITH OUR HANDS. (1 Cor. 4:12a)  YOU YOURSELVES KNOW THAT THESE HANDS OF MINE HAVE SUPPLIED MY OWN NEEDS AND THE NEEDS OF MY COMPANIONS. (Acts 20:34)  

     Equipping for Ministry: My time was spent in self paced study of Chuck and Ron's materials online. I received my bronze in 3 months, learned a lot more Biblical truths. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was profound. Ron equipped me for ministry by recognizing that Jesus has gifted me to write.  He encouraged me to write personal Bible commentary on the q and a's, and to post a devotional blog.  Jesus has put me into my own home based ministry to testify of His mercy, grace, and forgiveness.  I thank Him. 

    Spiritual Disciplines: The environment is conducive to private prayer, worship, and fasting like Anna the prophetess did.  SHE NEVER LEFT THE TEMPLE, BUT CONTINUED TO WORSHIP THERE NIGHT AND DAY WITH TIMES OF FASTING AND PRAYER. (Luke 2:37

        Meditating on the Word: Meditating on the Word of God comes naturally here. As I walk the fields I feel like an Isaac: AND ISAAC WENT OUT TO MEDITATE IN THE FIELD TOWARD EVENING. (Gen. 24:63a ESV)  As I watch Chuck's studies I feel like an Ezra:  I WILL MEDITATE ON YOUR PRECEPTS, I WILL RESPECT YOUR WAYS. (Psalm 119:15 ISV)

      Fellowship of the Saints:  I have sat and talked with the best Christian minds in the world.  It has been an honor.  .. MEN WHO UNDERSTOOD THE TIMES AND KNEW WHAT ISRAEL SHOULD DO.. (1 Chron. 12:3b)  I had fun hanging out with the youngest bible student in New Zealand to receiver her bronze, Amy Matsen.  Only took her 12 weeks. AS IRON SHARPENS IRON; SO ONE PERSON SHARPENS ANOTHER. (Prov. 27:17)

     "Come Away": The most significant  benefit of being here for 3 months is that I answered Jesus' voice to come away with Him, to talk to Him, to walk with Him, to study His Word.  I need Him even more.  Is He calling you?  Answer His call. "MY BELOVED SPOKE AND SAID TO ME, "COME WITH ME.. ARISE.." (Song 2)

1) TENT MAKING

Chuck and Ron have a beautiful "tent" here at river Lodge.  I think it's prettier than Paul's tents.  This is operated as a small business and everyone does their part to generate income and serve the guests. Wedding parties,  conferences and overnight guests are common.  My part has been to do the vacuuming.  I love it!  Isn't this the Biblical model of ministry as set forth in the Book of Acts?  I think it is.  As Paul, the great Apostle says:  WE WORK HARD WITH OUR HANDS. (1 Cor. 4:12a)  YOU YOURSELVES KNOW THAT THESE HANDS OF MINE HAVE SUPPLIED MY OWN NEEDS AND THE NEEDS OF MY COMPANIONS. (Acts 20:34)  Paul joined Priscilla and Aquila in self supported Christian ministry: ..AND BECAUSE HE WAS A TENTMAKER AS THEY WERE, HE STAYED AND WORKED WITH THEM. (Acts 18:3 NIV)

Years ago Jesus gave my husband and I a beautiful "tent" (small business).   God has used it in the past to fund Christian outreach, and He is doing it again today.  I praise Him.  Only by God's grace through Jesus  can I say, like Paul: WHAT THEN IS MY REWARD?  JUST THIS: IN PREACHING THE GOSPEL I MAY OFFER IT FREE OF CHARGE.. (Acts 18:3a)   The Holy Spirit through Dr. Missler is encouraging more of us to step forth as "spiritual entrepreneurs" in these end times.  What greater opportunity could there be?  Mary Magdalene and Jesus' other women followers  did the same. (Luke 8:3) 

2) DISCIPLESHIP

Just think, we students actually have the opportunity to live, study, and work with the man and woman of God, Ron and Marcie Matsen.  Chuck and other men of God come from time to time.  I've learned so much from their many years of wisdom and experience dedicated to Jesus.  This is the Biblical model of discipleship, we call it mentoring.  Moses and Joshua, Paul and Silas with Timothy, Elisha with Elijah are all Biblical powerhouses who lived this way.  Of course, Jesus was with the Twelve and His women for 3 years training them. 

The early Book of Acts church operated this way: THEY ALL MET TOGETHER AND WERE CONSTANTLY UNITED IN PRAYER, ALONG WITH MARY, THE MOTHER OF JESUS, AND SEVERAL OTHER WOMEN, AND THE BROTHERS OF JESUS. (Acts 1:14 NLT)  WHEN THE DAY OF PENTECOST CAME THEY WERE ALL TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE. (Acts 2:1 NIV)  ALL THE BELIEVERS WERE ONE IN HEART AND MIND. (Acts 42:a NIV)  

3) PRIVATE PRAYER AND WORSHIP

I want to be like Anna the prophetess as she spent time in solitude praying and worshiping YHWH.  SHE NEVER LEFT THE TEMPLE, BUT CONTINUED TO WORSHIP THERE NIGHT AND DAY WITH TIMES OF FASTING AND PRAYER. (Luke 2:37)  There is ample time for private prayer and worship here.  Jesus once told me to 'worship Him, that's where the power is'.  And I do.

4) MEDITATING ON THE WORD 

As I walk the fields I feel like an Isaac: AND ISAAC WENT OUT TO MEDITATE IN THE FIELD TOWARD EVENING. (Gen. 24:63a ESV)  As I watch Chuck's studies I feel like an Ezra:  I WILL MEDITATE ON YOUR PRECEPTS, I WILL RESPECT YOUR WAYS.(Psalm 119:15 ISV)  As I look into the skies I feel like a David:  AS I MEDITATE ON ALL YOUR WORKS, I WILL CONSIDER YOUR AWESOME DEEDS. (Psalm 77:12 ISV)  And like David I say: MAY MY MEDITATION BE PLEASING TO HIM, AS I REJOICE IN THE LORD." (Psalm 104:34 NIV)

5) FASTING

There have been several occasions where the students felt fasting was absolutely necessary to add  prayer power.  The environment here makes it easy to fast in privacy, with prayer backup.  I think we've witnessed miraculous results.  THE EARNEST PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS PERSON HAS GREAT POWER AND PRODUCES WONDERFUL RESULT. (Ja. 5:16bNLT)    FOR THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT OF THE FLESH, BUT HAVE DIVINE POWER TO DESTROY STRONGHOLDS. (2 Cor. 10:4 ISV)

6) BREAKING OF BREAD

Come experience world class eating at River Lodge.  Coronation chicken, cedar plank salmon, and beef stroganoff on mash potatoes are my favorites.  The chef here is a professional.  Her salmon is the best I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of salmon.   The quality of cuisine is top notch.  All the beef is sirloin cut, grass fed.  Ron cooks the perfect fried eggs for breakfast. The meals are always served with love.  The eggs in New Zealand are very healthy.  No hormones nor antibiotics are used in any feed. You can't beat the exceptionally low-low price as a student.  Just $400 a month is all.  Eating together was a high light of the early church as it is here:  OH, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD.. (Psalm 34:8a)   THE BELIEVERS CONTINUED TO DEVOTE THEMSELVES TO WHAT THE APOSTLES WERE TEACHING, TO THE BREAKING OF BREAD... (Acts 2:42a ISV)  THEY BROKE BREAD IN THEIR HOMES AND ATE TOGETHER WITH GLAD AND SINCERE HEARTS. (Acts 2:46b NIV)

7) NEW WINE, NEW WINE SKINS

THEN HE TOLD THEM A PARABLE, "NEW WINE IS TO BE POURED INTO FRESH WINESKINS."  (Lk. 5:36a,38b ISV)

We are living in significant times in history.  As Chuck says, "We are being plunged into the time the Bible has more to say about than any other time.  Jesus chose you and I.  We were born for a time such as this.  To carry the light of the gospel in this dark world is our solemn responsibility.  My study time here at River Lodge has been instrumental in giving me this courage, to set my face like flint for Jesus' glory.

I appreciate the program.  God is in it.  This is a new day, new wine!   The resident study program is the perfect wineskin in my personal opinion for what Jesus wants to do in these last days.  EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS.

8) FELLOWSHIP OF THE SAINTS

Being in the assembly of the saints day in and day out is a high light in the life of this Christian.  That's how it is here at the Resident Study.  It's like we live the Bible daily.

.. MEN WHO UNDERSTOOD THE TIMES AND KNEW WHAT ISRAEL SHOULD DO.. (1 Chron. 12:3b)  I have sat and talked with the best minds in the world.  It has been an honor.   To meet men who Jesus is using to carry the light of Christ to the world in these last days is the greatest experience of a lifetime.

AS IRON SHARPENS IRON; SO ONE PERSON SHARPENS ANOTHER. (Prov. 27:17)  The cutest KI student down here who has inspired me the most is 12 year old Amy Matsen.  She just received her bronze medallion.  I'm so proud of her.  It only took her 12 weeks to compete her course.  She has  great future in the Kingdom of heaven and I'm excited to see what Jesus has in store for her.

I PRAY THAT THE FELLOWSHIP OF YOUR FAITH MAY BECOME EFFECTIVE THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY GOOD THING WHICH IS IN YOU FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. (Philemon 1:6 NASB)  Being in the presence of born again, turned on Christians, living full throttle for Christ is anyones dream come true.  The fellowship of the saints is priceless!

9) DIVINE EMPOWERMENT

It's so easy to operate under and through the unction of the Holy Spirit  here.  Everyone does.  I can tell when my teacher prays for me, words come so easy.  Jesus has blown me away with the answers He gives me to the q and a's at the end of each lesson.  As Scripture says:  BUT YE HAVE AN UNCTION..  (1 Jn. 2:20a KJV)  The Greek word for "unction" is chrisma.  It is a supernatural empowerment from the Spirit of Truth, not something that we do ourselves.  Crisma is defined: anointing, or smearing, the special endowment (chrism) of the Holy Spirit.  Feels good to be smeared with God's Spirit, to be clothed in power is a great gift from above.  Jesus says:  BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES ON YOU; AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH. (Acts 1:8a,c)

10) SALVATIONS/ DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

The most interesting people from all over the world walk through the doors of River Lodge.  I've met orthodox Jews from Israel, business people from Slovakia, a family from Sri Lanka, new friends from New Zealand, ministers from the States, students from Australia, families from England, etc.  Each person is prayed in and the result of a divine appointment from God.

The most profound divine appointment was the Orthodox Jewish family who arrived as tourists for 1 night.  They ended up staying 3 nights.  They walked away believers in Messiah Jesus.  All the Messianic congregations in New Zealand were so happy to hear the news as it is extremely rare and valued for the orthodox to come to the realization that Jesus of Nazareth is the True Messiah of Israel.  The extremely brilliant man said that he has never been able to talk to anyone before about the profound passages of the Old Testament Messiah as he was able to discuss while here.  He was very grateful, and said, "It is obvious that Jesus is the Messiah."   This was probably my highlight, to hear him confess Messiah.  .. AND ALL WHO WERE APPOINTED TO ETERNAL LIFE BELIEVED.  (Acts 13:48c)  (By the way, he beat Chuck at a game of chess.  That's very rare too.) 

11) THE GREAT COMMISSION

I personally see where the anointed young men take the gospel to the ends of the earth through the internet and media of Lyonshead Media.  How inspiring.  My hearts desire has been answered to contribute to our great commission in a small way through the blog Jesus has given me now.  Chuck has told us from the pulpit that the internet has blown open the whole world to the gospel of glory.  Now, you and I can participate.  What a gift from God.  AND HE (JESUS) SAID TO THEM, "GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO LL CREATION." (Mark. 16:14)  AND THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM WILL BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AS A TESTIMONY TO ALL NATIONS, AND THEN THE END WILL COME. (Mt. 24:14 ISV)

12) COME AWAY 

I think this is a day, a generation of new beginnings. We were born for a time such as this.  In a sense Jesus is always calling  us to greater intimacy with Him.  Isn't He always whispering to us to love Him, to seek to please Him, and to live for Him even more? I can hear Him calling now, can you? MY BELOVED SPOKE AND SAID TO ME, "ARISE MY DARLING, MY BEAUTIFUL ONE, COME WITH ME... ARISE, COME.. COME WITH ME." (Song 2:10,13b,d NIV)  Coming away to River Lodge is a refreshing, empowering way to come away with Jesus.

 Isn't it wonderful to be known as "Bible people"?  The ultimate "grand adventure"  is to learn and live the Bible.  What I have seen and experienced here I would describe as   a Biblically based model                                                                                                                       of  Christianity.  More coming up!

Jesus gave me the opportunity to share my testimony about 20 times,
 to believers and unbelievers.  How awesome is that?  The opportunity to witness of Jesus' mercy, grace, and forgiveness in my life is priceless.  I hope there will be people in heaven because of it.  You can have this opportunity too.  Come experience it!

Biblically Based Model

Biblically Based Model:  River Lodge Resident Study 

What I have found here at River Lodge is a Biblically based model of life.  By that I mean the supernatural  functioning of the mystical body of Christ that is based on Scripture, mainly the new testament.  It is very exciting and supernaturally empowering through the Holy Spirit of Jesus to be called to be part of this work.  Chuck Missler teaches that we are still in the Book of Acts today, the continuing acts of the Holy Spirit through us  followers of the Way,  until the end of the age.  And you and I are part of it.  Chuck has been teaching us for decades that the day is coming, especially in America, where it will no longer be church as usual.  This is that day.In my personal opinion KI is the perfect wineskin given by Jesus in which He is pouring His new wine for these end times. We were born for a time such as this.  Let us work while it is day...

What Jesus Has Done For Me

Last year Jesus told me He still has more for me to do in this life.  Jesus said to tell of His mercy, His grace, and His forgiveness which has flowed to me with unfathomable power from above.  So, this is His call on my life.  I know that Jesus has a call on your life too, that He made just for you.

Ron Matsen, the Bible school teacher and director here has encouraged me to communicate through the written word.  He has me saving the q and a's and my thoughts on Jesus.  Ron instructed me to start a blog.  I had no idea how so his son, Matt, one of Chuck's tech guys here at Lyonshead Media set me up and trained me on how to continue.  Praise the Lord, I'm up and running in ministry now. To me, it's miraculous!  Isn't that what we all want?  To run the race, whatever that ministry may be for each one of us, just like the Apostle Paul did.   God has given me my hearts desires, to testify of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the courage to do it.  Check out my blog, I hope you like it.  mercy-grace-forgiveness@blogspot.co.nz

This is the ultimate goal of Ron Matsens vision for the Resident Study Program and all of KI: TO EQUIP THE SAINTS FOR THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY.  To  equip you and I as we study the Word.  Pastor Ron is especially gifted with recognizing and encouraging a person's giftings. His hearts desire is to empower through the Holy Spirit  all of us regular Christians, to get us up, running the race for the prize of the high calling of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.   So we can build with gold, silver and prescious stones; the grand adventure.   The greatest destiny; to stand before Jesus at His bema seat and receive a beautiful, shining golden crown.

To be part of the great, end time work of God through KI is very exciting and a privledge. So, to get jump started in the call of God in your life, to get immersed in your biblical studies even more  come on down.  You will be happy you did.  Plus its a great vacation.  Good food, great company.  What more can I say?

My Reflections on the Time at River Lodge

The sunshine of God's love has  been shining down upon me during my 3 months here in New Zealand. 

 It's summer time here.  (Winter in the States) As I walk the beautiful grounds I feel so much closer to our Creator God, Elohim.  I see His hand everywhere.  I  stand in awe of His glory.   I encourage all of the KI students to come away here with Jesus and draw even closer to  God.

 Chuck's 40 acres are beautiful. A large, meandering river with trout edges the property.  Mountain vistas encircle it.  Wild flowers gleam in fields of gold and green.  Birds sing. The greens sem to glow so vividly.   The wind rustles in the leaves, reminding me of the Holy Spirit.  The stars shine so brightly in the velvet sky.  Crickets serenade me to sleep. The fields of wildflowers bring Jesus words alive to me;  "CONSIDER HOW THE WILD FLOWERS GROW...."(Lk. 27aNIV)  Then Jesus goes on in Luke to encourage us all to have more faith in the providence of God, just like the flowers do; and to trust God's goodness towards us who believe.  I would say this has been a faith building experience for me. 

 Then Jesus goes on to explain what's really important in life:  "BUT SEEK HIS KINGDOM AND THESE THINGS (all of our daily needs) WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU AS WELL.  DO NOT BE AFRAID, LITTLE FLOCK, FOR YOUR FATHER  HAS BEEN PLEASED TO GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM." (Lk. 12:31,32 NIV)  Let's live for Jesus, and the age to come.  I've commitred myself to do this even more for the rest of my life.  May God help me.

The natural beauty of New Zealand is so profoundly beautiful.  Its like walking in a paradise.  The weather is perfect.  To me, this is the closest thing I can imagine to walking in the beauty of the Millennial Kingdom.  My time time here has given me the time to think on great mysteries of God and the opportunity to contemplate the coming of the Kingdom from Heaven.  I have now more of a kingdom perspective.  And I long for our King.  EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS.

I Found Love at KI Resident Study

"BY THIS, EVERYONE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER."  (John 13:35)

Tears come to my eyes as I write this.  The great love shown to me by the Matsen family has been healing to the heart of this widow.   They welcome everyone with open arms showing the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord to all.  Don't we all in the Body of Christ need that? 

The other two Resident Study students have been Ausies from the west coast of Australia and a young man,, a new Christian from Pennsylvania.  One student got his bronze in only a month, he was a real fast tracker.  The other student came here knowing that God would change her life forever, and He has.  Jesus has spoken to her here in love.  He has opened a new door of hope.  She has even greater courage to love, to live and speak for Jesus.  To stand before Him some great day and hear, "WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT," is her hearts greatest desire.

Maybe you have a date with destiny down here in New Zealand too?  Perhaps Jesus is calling you to come away with Him.  Is He?  Answer His call.  He will work wonders in your life too.  You will never be the same.  He will speak to you and show you great and mighty things....

The body of Christ is one big family comprising believers from all over the world. The world shall know us by our love for one another says Jesus.   I have found that out to my delight here at River Lodge.   Psalm 68:6 says:  GOD PLACES THE LONELY IN FAMILIES; HE SETS THE PRISONERS FREE AND GIVES THEM JOY. (NLT)     That's what God has done for me. Jesus has touched my heart. My life will never be the same again.   

 I feel Jesus has given me a new direction in life.  I hope to continue my  Biblical studies with KI, the great adventure as Chuck calls it. NO EYE HAS SEEN, NO EAR HAS HEARD WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM. (Cor.)  That's for this lifetime as well as the life to come.  At this time I'm planning on coming back next year.  Ben Matsen, the young man who does Chucks videos for him will train me on how to reach the world for Jesus through a vlog. We will get one up and rolling to tell of Jesus unfathomable mercy, grace, and forgiveness that Jesus has poured out on my life and the life of others.  I can hardly wait I'm so excited.

I pray that Jesus gives you the desires of your heart.  May He supercharge your studies.  Amen.  He will do it for you too.  All we need to do is ask.  We have not, because we ask not.  Ask our Father for all your needs,whatever they may be.  He will answer according to His will.  I know Jesus loves you.  He has good plans for you in this world, and the one to come.  Live for Him.  Jesus is of ultimate worth.

The Holy Spirit Talked To Me

"Go to New Zealand for 3 months and you will find what you are seeking." What am I seeking, I wondered?  The Spirit of Jesus had clearly told me to attend the KI Resident Study Program in New Zealand this winter.  So off I went.  I sure found a lot of fun, excitement, accomplishment, empowerment and, most of all love.   The stated goal was to get my bronze.  I didn't think I could get it but the Holy Spirit kept me on track with the studies.  God gave me understanding of the Scriptures beyond my wildest dreams. Makes me so happy.  God showed me great and mighty things in the Scriptures while studying under Chuck Missler and Ron Matsen.  Being here, walking in the anointing and empowerment of Gods Spirit is profound.  The distractions of this world seem to fall away.  Jesus has opened my mind even more to understand the Scriptures. That's what I've always desired.   Isn't that what we all want?   NOW TO THE ONE (JESUS) WHO CAN DO INFINITELY MORE THAN ALL WE CAN ASK OR IMAGINE ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT IS WORKING AMONG US- (Eph. 3:20 ISV)   I'm already fast tracking to silver.  WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. (Mt. 29:26c)
